Jack Ness

It is with deep sadness the family of Chic announce his sudden passing on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the age of 75. Left to mourn are his partner Nancy (Gagno) Oatley; his loved sons Brian John Ness of Niagara Falls, and Kevin James Ness of Whistler, BC, and their mother Joan (Reid) Ness. He is survived by his brothers Andy (Mona), & Bob (Mary), his sister June Ness of Minnetonka, Minnesota; also by his sisters-in-law Ellen Ness of Fonthill & Debbie Ness of California; and by numerous nieces & nephews. Sadly missed by his extended family Shannon Roseland-Barnes (Sean) and children Hailey & Aidan, Shawn Oatley (Melanie) and children Hunter & Noah. Fondly remembered by his loving family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Elizabeth, and his brothers Jim (Betty), Sandy, and Bill. Chic was employed at the LCBO for 26 years, retiring as Assistant Manager in 1993. He was an avid sportsman, Chic played hockey (Stamford Kerrio’s), baseball, and was a celebrated golfer enjoying many club championships at Queenston Golf Course and Rolling Meadows.

As per Chic’s wishes, there will be no visitation, cremation to take place with a private interment at a later date.
