Janice Mann

Janice was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, in 1946 to Thomas and Margaret Kerr. The youngest of three children, she left school at the age of 16 and began her career as a hairdresser, a vocation she loved and one that later allowed her to work from home. This allowed for her true life’s work and what she was most proud of ; raising her two daughters.

Family meant everything to Janice. She could often be found cheering on her girls from the sidelines of soccer fields, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, and freezing hockey arenas. Janice was also an avid basketball fan and looked forward each year to attending an NBA game with her daughter, Jody.

Janice loved music and dancing, and even when she could no longer dance on her feet, she could still be found dancing from her chair. She just loved to have fun.

Janice is survived by her two adoring daughters, Jody O'Riley and Kristy Perera (Jay); her cherished granddaughter and the light of her life, Janna Greco (Jorden); and her loving sister, Joan Tope (Dale). Janice was everyone's favourite aunt and will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Janice was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Kerr, and by her brother, the Late Robert Kerr (Margaret).

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the 6th Floor at Welland Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion throughout this incredibly difficult time. Special thanks are also extended to her PSWs from CarePartners, especially Vivienne, Patricia, and Lydia.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Patterson Funeral Home Ltd., 6062 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
