John passed away peacefully at the Nimigon Retirement Home with his family by his side on Thursday, October 25, 2012 in his 78th year. Loving husband of the late Kathleen Bedard(2000). Sadly missed by his sons John(Deb) & Paul(Debbie), and his daughters Cathy Ann & Christine(Bert). Grandfather of Jennifer, John, Michelle, Jimmy, Thomas, Nicolas, & Denise(Eric); and great grandfather of Breanna, Jaycee, Hunter, & Kira. Predeceased by his brothers James and Thomas. A very special thank you for the compassion and care shown by the staff at Nimigon Retirement Home towards John and his family.
In accordance with John’s wishes, there will be no visitation prior to cremation, will take place with a graveside memorial service to be held at a later date. A Memorial Gathering to celebrate John's life will be held at The German Village, 6854 Garner Road, Niagara Falls on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 2 - 5 PM. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated and may be made through Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 905-354-5614.
