John Lock

LOCK, John - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Lock on Sunday November 27, 2016 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, with his family by his side.  Beloved husband and best friend of 32 years to Laurie Lock (neé Shapton).  Loving father of Kimmey Long (neé Lock) and her husband Jim and Nathan Lock and his fiance Kelly.  Dear brother of Bob (Ghyslaine) Lock, Dianne (the late Bruce) Redman, the late Art (Sheila) Lock and the late Bill Lock.  Cherished uncle of Stan (Nancy) Lock, Kevan (Debbie) Lock, Angie Lock, Ken (Kay) Lock, Darlene Norris, Lara, Lisa and Dave Beaul.  Predeceased by his parents George and Helen Lock.  John was a 19 year employee of The Niagara Parks Commission, retiring from the People Mover Transit System in 2004.  After that, John and his wife enjoyed owning and operating  their family business, Jewel of Niagara Transportation & Tours, until 2014.  John was also an avid musician who was passionate about rock and roll and playing guitar.  He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and his dog Sugar, and will be forever in our hearts.  By John's personal request, cremation has taken place and a private inurnment at Fairview Cemetery Columbarium will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.pattersonfuneralhome.com
