Joseph Anthony DeSantis passed away suddenly June 10th,2026 at the age of 67. Devoted husband to Karen for 44 years. Loving father to Stephen DeSantis (Bianca) and Laura Dritsas (George). Cherished Nonno to Nicholas, Anthony, Michael and Divina.
He will be remembered with great affection by his large extended family in Niagara, Michigan, Italy, and his best friends and closest family members Anthony Vitaterna, Ralph Biamonte Jr. and Richard Fisher.
He owned and operated Provincial Construction where he spent the last 50 years building critical infrastructure in the Niagara Region and beyond. Joe was well respected in construction industry where he was known for taking on the most challenging projects.
Joe had an infectious zeal for life. He loved fast cars, big machines, and rock n roll music. However, it was the simple things that brought him happiness. He loved to spend time with family and friends, read, tinker with all things mechanical, care for his flock of chickens, tend to his fig trees, and work in his massive garden.
Joe’s vibrant spirit and unwavering enthusiasm touched the lives of everyone around him. He showed up, completely, every day, for anybody that needed him which is why so many people are proud to call him a dear friend.
He was a tremendous husband and father, but his most profound role was cherished Nonno. He lived for his grandchildren, and they were his greatest joy. His eyes would light up whenever they would run up to him for a hug. He worked hard to instill the value of hard work and family tradition in them. They will never forget the bonfires, tractor rides, fishing, rain swims and garlic picking. But most of all they will always love their Nonno.
