Passionate about cars, Joseph’s love of them began through his stepfather Charlie, a connection that remained meaningful throughout his life. He took pride in working with his hands—building, repairing, and doing honest work with care and determination. He also had a deep affection for animals, reflecting the tenderness that so naturally shaped the way he moved through the world.
Known to many as a gentle giant, Joseph was also his mother’s protector—steadfast, attentive, and unwavering in the ways that mattered most. His legacy lives on in the people who relied on him, the work he put his heart into, and the quiet strength he offered without hesitation.

The family will receive friends at Patterson Funeral Home, 6062 Main St., on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 11 am - 1 p.m., with the service at 1 p.m. Rite of committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
