Judith Ann Boyd (née Nimmo), age 78, passed away on June 29, 2026. She was born on February 19, 1948, in Welland, Ontario. Judy grew up in Dain City, and spent her life in the Niagara region, calling Port Colborne, Ridgeway, Welland, and ultimately Niagara Falls home.
Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a deeply caring presence in the lives of those who knew her. She was married to her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Boyd, for 58 years, a partnership marked by love, companionship, and shared memories, including many cherished travels together.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Allison D’Amario (Rob) and Grant Boyd (Natalie), and by her adored grandchildren Griffin, Gabby, and Geordie D’Amario, and Seth Boyd. Judy’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Judy was predeceased by her dear parents, David and Edna Nimmo, and her beloved brother, David Nimmo Jr.
Judy will be remembered for her kind and generous nature, her unwavering willingness to help others, and her deep love of animals. Her compassion and warmth touched many lives and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Chippewa Creek at Bella Care Residence and the staff at the Greater Niagara General Hospital (GNGH) for their compassionate care and support over the past several years. There are too many to name individually, but their kindness is deeply appreciated.
A private family memorial service will be held. Donations in memory of Judy can be made to the Niagara Falls Humane Society.
