Karen was born on August 26, 1960, in Edinburgh, Scotland, and will be lovingly remembered by her husband, William Patterson; her daughters, Danielle, Lyndsay, and Kristina (Darrell); and her beloved grandchildren, Ava, Ben, Damian, and Victoria.
Karen was predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Mary McCabe, and her brother, Joseph McCabe.
Karen will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her ability to find happiness despite whatever challenges life placed in her path. She had a warmth about her that could brighten a room, and her smile was a reflection of the joy and love she carried with her. Her strength, positivity, and love for her family will remain a lasting part of the lives of everyone who knew her.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her greatest legacy will be the love she gave to her family and the memories she leaves behind.
Karen will be deeply missed, but her smile, her laughter, and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Patterson Funeral Home Ltd., 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Sunday, October 4th, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends again on Monday, October 5th, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery, 4501 Stanley Ave., Niagara Falls.
