She was born January 16, 1940, in Bright, Ontario, Canada, a daughter of Thomas “Arch” and Ella Nichol.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty years, Robert H. Zavitz, and her cherished sister, Jean.
Kathryn is survived by her devoted son, Jeffrey Zavitz, of West Seneca, New York, her daughter, Karen (Lance) Michel, her two grandsons, Thomas and Connor, her sister-in-law Barbara Cotton (Zavitz) and many nieces and nephews.
Kathryn’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the ladies of Luann’s Caring Angels who cared for her with great patience, love and dignity. They also extend their appreciation for the service and care of her therapy providers and staff at Solstice Senior Living.
In honour of Kathryn’s request, there will be no public services. A private family observance and interment have been scheduled.
