

POLYDOROU, Kyriacos Knekna - Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, with his family by his side, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Friday April 2, 2021 at the age of 67. He is survived by his cherished wife of 43 years, Anastasia. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved children Zoi (Dionisis) Kominos, Polydoros Polydorou, Markos Polydorou and Demetrios Polydorou. Dear 'Papou' of Anastasia and Pantelis Kominos. He will be deeply missed by his mother-in-law Demetra Hadjigeorgalli. Mr. Polydorou is survived by his siblings Athena (Stelios) Kanaris, Charalambos (Maria) Kyriacou and Sofia (Kostas) Charitou. Dearly beloved brother-in-law of Theodosia (Christakis) Parpi, Panagiota (Georgios) Lagou, Aggeliki (Theofanis) Constantinou, Lambros (Despo) Hadjigeorgalli and Elias Kyriacou. Predeceased by his parents Polydoros and Zoi Kyriacou Kneknas, father-in-law Markos Hadjigeorgalli, sister in-law Anna Kyriacou and brother-in-law Christofis Hadjigeorgalli. He is survived by many aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Mr. Polydorou was born in Nicosia Cyprus but grew up in Argaki, Morphou until 1973. At the age of 20 he immigrated to Canada where he met his beloved wife Anastasia and married May 21,1977. He was a very active member of the Greek Community and belonged to St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church. Mr. Polydorou worked for over 35 years for Fleet Industries and will be deeply missed by his many close friends and co-workers. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Doctor Juergens and her team at the Juravinski Research Center for their outstanding care and compassion that they showed to our beloved husband and father. Respecting the government restrictions of COVID-19, including the requirement of pre-booked appointments (by calling 905-358-3513 between 9 am and 5 pm), friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls visiting Wednesday April 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A private Funeral Mass in celebration of his life will take place Thursday April 8 at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
