Mrs. Lena Basile Buric

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lena Basile Buric, who passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, at the age of 65 surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous journey with cancer.

Lena was the beloved wife of Joseph Buric, devoted mother of MaryLee (Jeremy) Arnold, and proud Nunnie of Jemma and Fiona, who brought endless joy to her life.

She was the cherished daughter of Assunta and the late Antonio Basile, beloved daughter-in-law of Elvira and the late Darko Buric and beloved sister of John Basile (Jaqueline Pigott), Frank Basile, Connie (Jerry) Leone and Susan (Daniel) Galati. She was also a dear sister-in-law of Fred Buric.

She was also a loving aunt to Lucia (Daniel, Alina and Gino) DeMizio, Dana (Perry and Kiara) Mahon, Ginett (Joe and Joseph) Leo, Peter (Brittany) Leone, Susan (Broc) Botbyl, and Angeline Galati (Lucas Immarino).

Lena will be remembered for her strength, kindness, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family. She found joy in cooking, attending concerts, and spending time with those she loved most. Her warmth, laughter, and beautiful spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

A special thank you to Lena’s lifelong best friend, Geneva Kennedy (Elise and Jamie) for their love, friendship, unwavering support, and compassionate care.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Patterson Funeral Home on Thursday, July 16, from 6:00–8:00 p.m., and Friday, July 17, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Saturday, July 18, at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
