

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lina Orlando (née D’Agostino), at the age of 94. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and Nonna to all who knew her.
Lina was predeceased by her devoted husband, Adolfo Orlando; her brother, Dominic D’Agostino (Francesca); and her son-in-law, Raymond Woodhead.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Rita Woodhead, her son, Arturo Orlando (Karen); her sister, Gabriella Cialini (Domenico); her grandchildren, Bobby Woodhead (Jillian), Matthew, and Elaina (Justin); and her great-grandchildren, Julia, Aria, Bella, and Lucy. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends, both here at home and in Italy, who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Lina’s greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for the love, warmth, kindness, and care she shared with those around her. Her presence brought comfort and happiness to generations, and her memory will remain in their hearts forever. Lina spent her senior years working as a Respite Companion caring for people .
A very special and heartfelt thank you goes to Carmette, who has been a longstanding and cherished part of our family and devoted so much time, care, and love to Lina. We are deeply grateful for her unwavering support and the meaningful relationship she shared with Lina over the years. We also extend our sincere appreciation to all the staff at River Road Retirement for their compassion, kindness, and dedicated care throughout the past four years. Their support brought comfort to Lina and reassurance to our family, and it will always be remembered with gratitude.
Lina leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love that will live on through her family for generations to come.
The family will receive friends at Patterson Funeral Home, 6062 Main Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 10 am - 12 noon, with the funeral to follow. Private family burial in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Welland, Ontario. In lieu of flowers donations to either Alzheimer’s Society, Canadian Cancer Society or to the Diabetes Canada.
