Lonnie Lang, 83 from Niagara Falls, Ontario passed away peacefully on September 30th, 2026 following a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1943 she was the middle child of Helge and Any Jorgensen who brought their family to Canada in 1957 for a better life. Like her parents before her, she was a proud small business owner of Kindy’s Furs in Downtown Niagara Falls and even after she retired from her business, she continued to help tailor clothes for friends and family for special events long into her retirement. A fierce competitor in her own right, she loved nothing more than cheering on her grandchildren from the sidelines in their competitive sporting pursuits.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband Barry and survived by her Siblings Hardy Jorgensen and Inge Tonini. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Lynn Phillips and Glen Lang and their spouse’s Drew Phillips and Trish Matthews, and her cherished grandchildren, Owen Lang, Charlotte Lang, Ethan Matthews, Reese Phillips and Blake Phillips. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and close friends.
A small family service and celebration of life will take place at the Sun Set Villa Mindepark in Crieff, Ontario where she will be laid to rest eternally with her husband and parents at a later date.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the care team at the Marotta Family Hospital and to all who shared their love, time and compassion to her and the family in her final days. In lieu of flowers, and in honour of her brave journey, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Breast Cancer Canada.
