THOMS, Marilyn Stella Louise (nee Vittie) - Passed away suddenly at her residence on Thursday March 13, 2025 at the age of 75. Caring wife of 54 years to Glen and beloved mother of Greg (Denise Robertson) Thoms, Carla (Jim Buitenwerf) Thoms and Kristin (Simon) Matthews. Cherished grandmother of Wyatt and Noah Thoms, Ashlee and Kirsten Robertson, Ryker, Arlie and Ayla Buitenwerf, Leah, Gavin and Graham Matthews. Loving sister of Gary (Pam) Vittie, Karen (Dale) Hagar and sister-in-law of Wendy Vittie, Roy Thoms, Edith Thoms, Alan (Lenora) Thoms and Lionel (Rosanna) Thoms. She will be forever remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Arnold and Helen (nee Thompson) Vittie, brother Randy Vittie and in-laws Shirley and Harvey Thoms. Marilyn was charismatic, kind, caring, full of life and always enjoyed a good joke. She was very social, loved the time she spent with family and friends and always thought of others before herself. She was a proud grandmother who loved cheering on her grandkids at their sporting events. Marilyn worked as a Registered Nurse at GNGH. She was a dedicated professional and was loved by her colleagues. She retired in 2013 after a 42 year career. In keeping with Marilyn's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Monday March 24, 2025 from 11am to 2 pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm at the funeral home.
