June 17, 1933 – December 19, 2025
With grace, love, and quiet determination, our beloved Matriarch passed on December 19, 2025, leaving this world softer in her wake.
Born in Quebec, Mary was a gifted seamstress, a woman of selfless generosity, gentle humour, and lived wisdom. In 1951, she married her husband, Henryk Lysiak, who predeceased her in 1987. Together they had four children: Dyan (the late Jim Sangster), Jean (Enzo Bellon), Ted, and Tanya (Darren Globe).
Mary cherished her granddaughters Erin (Adam Preston) and Lara (Michael Fenzl), and delighted in her role as great-grandmother to Cru, Mila, and William. Music, laughter, and kindness remained her companions throughout life.
She is lovingly remembered by her siblings and extended family.
A private ceremony will be held for immediate family. We express our gratitude to all those who supported her to feel loved, safe, and cared for at all stages of her beautifully traveled journey.
“For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.”
— Khalil Gibran
