Melody Ann (Dalcourt) Wilcox

Melody Wilcox (nee Dalcourt) was born October 12, 1965 in Port Colborne Ontario. She lived her life having a fierce love for her family, friends and many animals. Melody spent her early years living in Port Colborne before getting married and settling down in Ingersoll Ontario, and having two beautiful daughters. After many years she and her daughters returned to Niagara settling down in Wainfleet for a while before Melody finally returned to Port Colborne.

In her 56 years Melody took in many stray animals and people, willing to open her home and heart to those in need. Melody loved music and travel, spending much time on the road with her daughters going to concerts and creating the best memories. She was a huge Toronto Blue Jays fan, always looking forward to the opportunity to catch a game in Toronto with her daughters. Her favorite movies were the Wizard of OZ, Titanic and Troy, she watched them time and time again. She may have been a little obsessed with her phone but she knew when to put it away to make lasting memories with her family.

Melody is lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her daughters, Holly (Ryan) and Jenna (Lucas), loving mother Vivian, and her amazing siblings, Cathy (Eric), Gordy (Hope), and Jerry (Ava). She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and all of her daughters’ friends whom she took in like extra children.

On the days we miss her most please never forget that she loved each and every one of the people she met, smile up at the sky and know she is looking back at you. May you rest in paradise mom, we love you so much and will miss you for the rest of our time. You will live on through us and the great stories we will tell.
