Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 76, surrounded by her loving family.
She will be missed by the love of her life, Ken. Nancy was the loving mother to Harry, Elvis, Adam (Chantal) and Donna Petersen (Mark). She was the cherished grandmother of Marshall, Max, Chloe and Ellie. Nancy was the second mother to Brittany Williams (Quincy) and extra grandma to Isiah and Iyla. She was the favourite aunt to many nieces and nephews and loved by countless friends who considered her family and called her “Grandma Nancy” or “Aunt Nancy”. Her absence will be felt profoundly by all who knew and loved her. Nancy cherished every moment with her family and friends.
Nancy treasured every moment spent with her loved ones. Her enthusiasm was shown as she attended various events, from sporting activities and birthdays to Christmas concerts. Nothing brought her more joy than seeing her children's happiness. Always playful and full of life, she was a bright light, even in challenging times. She gave selflessly to others and will be remembered as the best mom ever! Anyone who knew her will miss her Hugs and Kisses. A proud volunteer at Shoulder to Shoulder and a dedicated member of St. Andrews United Church, she also cherished her weekly Timmies outings with her special people. Our heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Qawi and nurse Emily for their exceptional care of Nancy.
Visitation will take place at Hetherington and Deans Funeral Home (5176 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls, ON) on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrews United Church (5645 Morrison St, Niagara Falls, ON) on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11 AM.
