It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Ada Lewis (Ellah) who left us peacefully on August 5, 2026 at the age of 74.
Ada was a loving wife, a devoted stepmother, and a cherished sister and aunt. Her warmth, kindness and strong family spirit touched everyone who knew her. She was the best fur mom to her babies Chloe and Cali whom she loved dearly.
Ada is survived by her loving husband Gary Lewis, her beloved stepchildren Michael and Michelle (Anthony) Lewis, her two brothers Klaas (Terezinha) Westera and Lambert (Colleen) Westera. She also leaves behind her nieces Jodi Melnyk (Christopher ) and Janine Tessmer (Kris) and family, Meylisa (Elias) Kerince. Her nephews James Westera and Kevin (Eddie) and family. Ada leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She will be deeply missed by her sister-in-law Barb and is now reunited with her best friend Linda.
Ada was predeceased in death by her beloved parents Teuntje Bastina Westera (nee Prins) and Hendrik Westera as well as her nephew Hendrik Westera.
Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear."
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honour to the Niagara Falls SPCA and Humane Society.
