Nicola Di Paola, of Guardia Lombardi, Italy, passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 86. Throughout his life, Nicola was defined by hard work, unwavering dedication, and an abiding devotion to his family and loved ones.
Nicola will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his beloved wife, Lorenza Di Paola. He was a proud and loving father to Vito Di Paola (France), Elvi Petriello (Luigi), and Tony Di Paola (Elisabetta).
He was the cherished Nonno of Joseph, Nicholas (Cristina), Rosaly (Joseph), Nicholas (Danielle), Andrew, Anthony (Taylor), Vito (Sandy), and Nicholas (Kayla). He was also the adored Bisnonno of Alessio, Cristiano, Lyla, JJ, Luca, Matteo, and Sofia, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
Nicola is survived by his dear siblings Mike (Olga) Di Paola, Pat (Grace) Di Paola, and Antonietta (Jerry) Di Paola, as well as many nieces and nephews who held him close to their hearts. He was predeceased in death by his beloved parents, Vito and Elvira Di Paola, his brother Gerardo Di Paola (Raffaella), and his sister Rosa Gentile (Pietro).
His legacy of strength, warmth, and commitment to family will live on through the generations he nurtured and loved.
Visitation will take place at Patterson Funeral Home Ltd., 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls, on October 9, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of the Scapular, 6557 Thorold Stone Rd, Niagara Falls, on October 10, 2026, at 10:30 am. A Committal Service will follow at Fairview Mausoleum, 4764 Portage Rd, Niagara Falls.
