

RICCI, (Germani), Palma - Peacefully surrounded by her family, on Sunday January 16th at GNGH in her 89th year, heaven gained another angel which will never be forgotten. Heaven’s gain is our tremendous loss. Beloved wife of Sossio for 69 years. Loving and devoted motherof Anna (Tony) DeMartino, Julie Baty, John (Jodie) Ricci and Teresa Cole (Jeff Nagy). Adored grandmother of Mary (Nino) DeChellis, Anthony (Alwyn) DeMartino, Danny and Jason Baty, Rachel (Nathan) Neil, Carleigh Ricci (Randy Arsenault), Joshua Ricci, Madison Cole, and Baileeand Stefanie Collee. She was blessed to also have seven beautiful great grandchildren who she loved with her whole heart, Ava and Gianna DeChellis, Layla and Luca DeMartino, Lauren Neil, Sadie Arsenault and Sofia Collee. Predeceased by her parents Angela and GiovanniGermani, parents-in-law Angela and Francesco Ricci, brothers Francesco, Antonio, Arduino, sisters Domenica and Marietta, and sisters-in-law Teresa (Nicola) Ricci, Pietrina Ricci and Teresa (Mimmo) Ricci. Survived by sisters-in-law Giuseppa (late Antonio) Germani, Ida (latePasquale) Ricci, Ida (late Domenico) Ricci, Rosetta (late Michele) Fornella, Franca (late Pietro) Ricci and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Sossio immigrated to Canada in 1963 for a better life and Palma joined in 1964 with three of their children. They continued their 75 year journey together in Canada. Mom was a gentle and kind lady with an infectious smile who always put her family first. She was loved by all who knew her will be missed beyond measure. Palma’s family would like to thank Father Christopher Kul and the nurses in the ER and the ICU, especially Meghan. Respecting the restrictions of COVID-19 including the requirement for face masks, social distancing, maximum occupancy limits and pre-booked appointments (by emailing [email protected]), friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Thursday , January 20th, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 am at Our Lady of the Scapular Church. The Rite of entombment will follow at Fairview mausoleum.
