Born with an adventurous spirit and a resilience that shaped every chapter of her life, Renée spent her finest years pioneering in the Yukon. She forged a life in the North with equal parts grit and grace. In the Yukon, she was known as a trailblazer: a woman unafraid of hard work, long winters, or the unknown. She lived generously and courageously. Her stories—hunting, snow shoeing, and building their beloved cabin—became treasured family legends.
Beyond her pioneering spirit, she was a devoted Christian, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a very talented piano player and artist. Her smile and laughter could fill a room; we will miss her dearly.
Special thanks to Ashley at Cavendish Manor for taking the best care of her during her time there and her dear friend Becky for always being by her side.
Cremation to take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be greatly appreciated by the family.
