Mr. Richard Rick Charles Bodnar

Passed away after a long battle with Liver Disease at University Hospital, London , Ontario, on Wednesday September 14, 2011, with his wife by his side. Rick was the beloved friend of Bonnie for 33 years, the last 21 happily married. Loved father of Cara ( Pat McPherson) and Nicolas Bodnar. Grandfather of Connall Bodnar. He is predeceased by his parents Nicolas and Josephine Bodnar and his sister Maryanne. Rick is survived by and will be missed by Aunt Mary, his cousins and of course his many friends. He will also be truly missed by Bonnie’s Dad and Mom and her brother Ronald. Rick served as a police officer with Niagara Regional Police for 39 years retiring as a Seargent. It was never a job to him it was a passion which he truly enjoyed.

Resting at the funeral chapel of HETHERINGTON AND DEANS, 5176 Victoria Ave., where the family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 and 7-9. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday September 19, 2011, at 11 AM. Interment with Rite of Committal will be held at Pleasentview Memorial Gardens.

As an expression of sympathy, contributions to The London University Hospital, Transplant Unit would be appreciated by Rick and his family.
