Dear Bright family, we are so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. We have fond memories of dinners and swimming at the Bright residence. Rick always had a hokey joke to tell. He will always be Uncle Rick to Beth, Janice and Alison. Such a wonderful sweet and generous man. We will miss him very much.

Dear Kelly and family,

My heart goes out to you all. Your dad was such a wonderful man. He always had something great to say about everyone, and was always so friendly and welcoming. He always used to ask after my Nana and Papa (Marion and Alex Mills). He is going to be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

Sincerely,
Katharine (Matson) McLaughlin

Dear Todd and Kelly and family: We are so sad and shocked to hear of your Dad's sudden passing. We have loved our encounters with him over the years and will truly miss him. Sincere sympathy from our family to yours.

                                                                                        The Saddler family

I will miss seeing Rick at the library where he often sat in a comfy chair to read magazines. One day he spoke to me as I worked nearby and he wondered about a magazine that had pictures of places where he and his wife had visited a few years before. It brought back memories of their trip. To make a long story short, he purchased the magazine from the sale cart that day. We chatted often after that and eventually learned one another's first names. I was saddened to hear of Rick's passing and I extend sincere condolences to his family.

Dear Todd, Kelly and families, I am tremendously saddened to learn of Rick's passing. It gives me comfort though to think that now he and the lovely lady Eileen will be together in heaven. My deepest condolences.

So sorry to hear about your dad Todd. Thinking of you and your family during this time.

Dear Kelly, Todd and families, thinking of both your Mom and Dad takes me back to Simcoe Street School days. Somehow they have always been "Rick and Eileen" to me I know what wonderful grandparents they were and how much you will miss both of them. Caroynne Canham

Dear Todd & Family: Please accept our condolences on the recent passing of your father. While we may not have had the pleasure of meeting him directly, he is wonderfully reflected in the character of his son. Gary & Phyllis King

My deepest sympathy to the family of Rick. He was my favourite customer at Lococos. His presence will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to each and every one of his family members. Even though my son and Alex took karate lessons for years together, I never met Rick till I came to work at Lococos in 2011. He always made me smile when he walked in the store and I enjoyed the many heartfelt conversations we had. Will truly miss you Rick. Rest in peace my friend. Sincerely, Tammy McArthur and Family

Dear Kelly, Todd and Families, I am so sorry and shocked to hear of the sudden passing of your father and papa. He was always a special person to me and over the years I have enjoyed his big hugs, smile and the way he would always laugh and call me Enilorac...(my name spelled backwards)!. My thoughts are with all of you.

To Todd, Kelly and families.... My heart is also sad for all. You have lost a special person and Heaven has gained another wonderful Angel. May the pictures and special memories help during this very sad time. Love Bill Jacquie Napper and family xoxoxo

My very deepest condolences to you Todd and Kelly and your families. Your Dad was a very special person as was your Mom. His dedication and loyalty to my family is something that I will never forget. His passing is a great loss to everyone he came in contact with.

To the whole Bright family, there are no words to express my sadness for the passing of your papa and father. I loved getting to know him when I had the pleasure of working with Todd and his whole family the summer we were preparing to open Forestview Public School. He was a tremendous listener who had so many great stories and every time I had the pleasure of being with him I learned something new. I am a better man for knowing him!
Rick: I will see you on the other side. Rest in Peace
