Passed away at home on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the age of 90. Predeceased by parents Floyd and Elizabeth McRae, brothers Andrew and Sonny McRae. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Viola Kertesz (the late Louis, 2010), Margaret (Nadine) Kertesz-Fraser, Louis (Janice) Kertesz Jr., Karen Brooker, as well as his, great-great-niece and great-great-nephews, Mya, Jackson, Cody (Lexi Decaria) Brooker and especially great-grand nephew Eric Brooker, whom he shared a particularly special bond with. Bob and Eric spoke daily, sharing life’s little moments, laughter, love, and their close relationship was a treasured part of everyday life. His absence will leave an immeasurable void.
Bob enjoyed keeping up with the news, checking his Lotto Max numbers, as well as visiting with his sister and sharing daily tea and a muffin. Even when he was no longer able to drive, his family came to him.
