Ronald "Butch" Lanthier

Passed away peacefully after a brief battle with illness at the Welland Hospital on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 74 years of Age. Loving husband of Bonnie (Nee Freel) for over 53 years. Dear Father of Barbara Lanthier of Belleville, Edward (Dawn) of South River, Brenda Cerminara (Barry), Joanne Lanthier, Tracy Whoten (Joseph) of Tulsa, OK, and Dianne Whalen (Michael). Papa to 12 Grandchildren and 1 Great-granddaughter. He is predeceased by his Parents Edward and Alice, his Sisters Jenny Easterling & Jackie Perry, Brothers-in-law Herman Kenny, Frank Perry, & George Burcuil. Survived by his Brothers and Sisters: Pauline Kenny, Aline Rheault (Andy), Joey Diplock (Jack), Florette Burcuil, Moe Lanthier (Anne), Ray Lanthier (Gail), & Lorraine Lecuyer (Ray). Fondly remembered by his nieces & nephews.

Family & Friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Wednesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 4673 Victoria Avenue on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to either the Canadian Diabetes Association or Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
