

He is survived by his spouse of 53 years, Sharlene (nee Thompson). Born in Welland on June 26, 1946, Ron was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Mary Rosinski (Kowalski), his sister Diana Rosinski, his brother Gerald (Jerry) Rosinski, and his parents-in-law, the late Leata Thompson and Ellrie Thompson Sr.
He was the dear brother of Marlene Ceci and her husband Andre. Ron will be fondly remembered as a loving uncle to Dayna Racine, Stephen Rosinski (Lauren), Thomas Rosinski, Brock Ceci, Alexander Ceci, Mariska Ceci (Spencer Cook), and Mackenzie Ceci (Jacob Bernatz). He was also a proud great-uncle to Cole, Mary Charlotte, Harrison, and Dylan Racine; George, Jack, and Charlotte Rosinski; and Franklin Ceci-Cook.
He will be missed by Sharlene's siblings, Ellrie Thompson (Elizabeth) and Wesley Thompson (Allison), and was predeceased by her sister, Deborah Taylor. Ron will also be fondly remembered as an uncle to Deborah’s children, Jacob Taylor and family, and Matthew Taylor (Erica), and as a great-uncle to Mackenzie and Abigail. He will also be missed by his extended family and many friends.
Ron dedicated much of his life to education. He completed his program of teacher education at St. Catharines Teachers' College in 1968, went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Brock University in 1975, and achieved a Master of Education from the University of Toronto in 1979. Ron enjoyed a long, fulfilling career as an educator in Niagara, leaving a positive mark on generations of students.
After his retirement from teaching, Ron embarked on a sweet second act, owning and operating two Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory shops in Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake. He will be deeply missed for his quick wit, outgoing spirit, and warm demeanor. Ron possessed a natural charm, radiating an upbeat energy and an unfailing cheerfulness that brightened the lives of everyone he encountered.
To honour Ron's memory, his family will be gathering privately to celebrate his life and share their cherished memories of him.
