It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Shirley Eileen Wall, on October 26, 2026, at the age of 99, just five months shy of 100 years of age. Shirley was predeceased by her late husband, LaVerne, and her sons, Larry and Randy. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Luann, Lori (Rob), and Lisa (Cosmo), and cherished as a grandmother to 13 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 9 great-grandchildren, soon to be 10 (Nov). She was also a devoted cat mom to Kinsley.
Shirley will be deeply missed by her friends and the staff at Stamford Estates Retirement Home. The family extends a very special thank you to Jen for taking Shirley under her wing—making sure she got down for lunch and caring for Kinsley when the family could not.
The family also offers sincere gratitude to the Paramedics, the Emergency staff at GNGH, and Shirley’s nurses in the Trillium Unit for their excellent care during her final hours. A heartfelt thank you is also extended to her long-time friend Suzanne for her dedication and support, and for her help with Shirley, affectionately known as “Sunshine.”
Visitation will take place at Patterson Funeral Home Ltd., 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls, ON, L2G5Z9, on November 7, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at Patterson Funeral Home Ltd. on November 7, 2026, at 2:00 pm. A private interment at Fairview Cemetery will take place at a later date.
