He was predeceased by his father, Wally, and his sisters, Kate and Sue. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathryn; his children, Andrew and Sue-Ann; his mother, Iris; and his sisters, Ruth and Mary Jane.
Steve was an airplane, car, and boat enthusiast. He and his family owned a cottage on Harris Lake in Pointe au Baril for 30 years, where they spent summers exploring the surrounding area by boat and on foot. He and his wife travelled to see aircraft carriers, NASCAR races, the Key West Boat Races, and the Reno Air Races.
Steve worked in the forging industry for over 40 years, ending his career as Maintenance Manager at Welland Forge in Welland.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Heatherington & Deans on Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls, ON. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the ALS Society and Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
