Mr. William George Barr

On Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in his 93rd year. William George Barr, beloved husband of the late Marion Lindsay Scott (1997). Dear father of John Barr and his wife Sharon Aylsworth of Toronto. Loved grandfather of Eric Barr. Dear brother of Mary Barr, Vancouver, and the late Donald Barr and James Barr.

Mr. Barr was a longtime resident of Niagara Falls where he was employed as an Electrical Engineer with the Norton Company in Chippawa. Bill was an active Mason as a member and Past Master of King Edward VII, Lodge and served as District Deputy Grand Master of Niagara District B, in 1977-1978. He was a 32nddegree Mason and member of AASR, and was an Honorary Member of the Supreme Council of Canada 33rd degree.

Resting at the funeral chapel of HETHERINGTON AND DEANS, 5176 Victoria Avenue, where the family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9. The service will be held at Chippawa Presbyterian Church, 8280 Willoughby Dr.,on Friday October 24, 2003 at 1 PM. Cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy In Memoriam contributions to The Charity of Ones Choice would be appreciated by the family. The Officers and Members of King Edward Lodge # 471 will conduct a Masonic Memorial Service in the chapel Thursday evening at 7 o’clock.
