Nate was elected as a trustee of Bulkeley School during the period when the court determined that the funds of the Bulkeley Trust were to be used for scholarships for the students that reside in the City of New London. He was also a member at Black Hall Club, Great Neck Country Club and was also a member of the Connecticut State Seniors Golf Association where he served as tournament chairman for several years.

Aside from golf, he enjoyed playing bridge and bowling. One of his happiest times was when he golfed in the Worlds Pro Am in Scotland and his team came in second in a five day tournament that was played at five different courses where British Open Tournaments were held. He was a NY Yankee fan and faithful fan of UConn woman’s basketball.

He was predeceased by his brothers Donald & David.
