

Donald John “Duck” Brady passed away August 17, 2015. He joins his loving wife Katherine O’Neal Chafin Brady in Heaven. Donald was born on August 23, 1928. He is survived by his son, Donald Jeffery Brady (Lyn) of Gonzales, his grandchildren; Donald Joshua Brady (Jennifer), Katerina Maria Brady, Nick Braswell (Stacie), and Tyler Braswell. He is also survived by his two great-grandchildren; Julian Davis Brady and Ella Kate Braswell and his brother Clifton C. Brady Jr.
Donald served his Country as a Soldier in the Army during the Korean Conflict, a graduate of Destrehan High School and an Alumni of LSU, he served on the St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning Commission for many years and on the board of directors of the Louisiana Federal Credit Union for more than 25 years. Donald worked for Shell Oil Company for 38 years starting his career in operations and ending in a staff position after working several units throughout the complex.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Clifton Brady, Sr. and Viviane Brulet Brady; sister, Myrdis Brady; and brothers, Roland, and Roy Brady. The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice of Baton Rouge. And to our special Angels, Linda, Bertha and Pat whom without their support this time would have been unbearable.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a night wake at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco, LA on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 5:30 PM to 8 PM. A visitation will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 9 AM until the time of Mass at 11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, LA. Followed by a reception at the family home in Norco. Condolences may be expressed at www.HCAlexanderFuneralHome.com.
