Donald Joseph Scott

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lyndal Scott, his parents, Clarence Scott Sr. and Sabina Nichols Scott, and sisters, Florence Babovich and Gloria Culotta Landson.

He is survived by his sons, Donald Scott Jr., David Scott (Michelle), and Albert Scott, grandchildren, Lonny Graffia, Bree Treadway (Joshua), Austin Scott, Cara Scott, Ava Scott, and Laynee Scott, great-grandchildren, Adeline, Avery, Gracelynn, Marielle, and Ultan Treadway, his brother, Clarence Scott Jr., and former wife and mother of Donald Jr. and David, Lana Burns.

Donald graduated from Holy Cross High School in New Orleans and went on to work for the Times-Picayune newspaper, where he stayed until his retirement. He loved the water and spent his free time sailing, crabbing, and fishing as well as going on many cruises with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Ashes. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA. Visitation will be held from 10AM – 12PM with a Mass to begin at 12PM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
