Doris Vicknair Guillot

Doris Vicknair Guillot passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born in Edgard, LA on May 28, 1937, and was a resident of Destrehan, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Guillot, Sr., her son, Thomas J. Guillot, Jr., she is also preceded by her parents, Zephyrain A. Vicknair and Dora Tabor Vicknair, and siblings, Roaul Vicknair, Lillian Hebert, Noelie Michel, Annabelle Gaubert, Earline Larouse, Wallace Vicknair, Jeanette Deocampo, and Melvin Vicknair.

Doris is survived by her son, Larry A. Guillot (Brenda), and daughter, Gayle G. Schexnaydre (Jerome), her grandchildren, Larry A. Guillot, Jr. (Allison), Brianna Sopjes (Brandon), Logan Guillot (Heather), Brock Guillot, Jeremy Schexnaydre, and Shelby Hidalgo (Alex), and great grandchildren, Kade, Maci, and Alivia Guillot, Francoise “Frankie” Sopjes, and Lillian and Emma Guillot. She is also survived by her siblings, Nelson Vicknair, Dora Newsome, and Zephyrain Vicknair, Jr. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and family members.

The family would like to thank all those who helped in her care and Ochsner Main Campus Palliative Care in her final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10AM with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12PM. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.
