Doris Tyndall Oubre

She is preceded in death by her parents, Percy Bruce Tyndall and Liddie Baker Tyndall and her siblings, James Davis, Dorothy Jean, and Leroy.

She is survived by her husband, Earl J Oubre Sr., sons, Earl J Oubre Jr. (Susette) and Kurtz (Elizabeth), and daughters, Lydia Fontana (Paul) and Cherie Webre (Dirk). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brad Oubre, Kim Cheramie, Terry Weber Jr., Kristi Bernard, Adrienne Albrado, Nicholas Oubre, Erika Ide, and Davis Foret, her brother, Lloyd Vernon Tyndall (Ruby), as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  

She worked as a beautician for many years in Des Allemands and Luling. She was briefly the postmaster in Des Allemands in the 1950’s. Doris also served proudly in the US Army as a WAC at Camp Stoneman California during the Korean War.  

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at West St. Charles Baptist Church in Boutte, La. Visitation will be held from 10 AM - 12 PM with a prayer service to begin at noon. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to West St Charles Baptist Church benevolence fund.
