Edna Marie Abreo

Edna Rome Abreo entered into eternal rest on Sunday May 2, 2026 at 5:08 pm. Age 86 years, and a lifelong resident of Gramercy, LA. Beloved wife of the late Thomas L. Abreo, Sr. Loving mother of Dawn A. Becnel (Kevin), Dayna A. Montz (Dawayne), Thomas J. Abreo, Jr. (Melissa), Denise Abreo, Debra A. Strain (late: Mark) and the late Lynn and Glynn Abreo. Grandmother of Brandi Fontenot, Dustin Montz, Brett Becnel, Blake Abreo, Darien Miller, Mandy Montz, Marcel Miller, Jesse Miller and the late Daniel Montz. Great-grandmother of Ally, Kate, Matthew, Lily, Collin, Gavin, Andrew, Caroline, and Eloise. Daughter of the late Jean Etiennie Rome and Denise Becnel Rome. Sister of the late Gerald Rome. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Edna’s greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren along with the many trips to the camp on Blind River where she enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. She will be dearly cherished and sadly missed by all.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 616 Main Street, Gramercy, LA on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM until Mass Time at Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina, LA
