

Felix Joseph Campo, 90, was entrusted to God’s loving care on Monday, September 8, 2014. Born in Destrehan, Louisiana as the eldest son of Felix A. and Edith Becnel Campo of Destrehan. Also preceded in death by his former wife, Edna Edmond Campo and his two brothers, Jerry J. Campo and Robert J. Campo (Mary). Survived by 7 children, Dianne D. Campo, Cynthia C. Coleman (Bob), Jeri C. Kiefer, Patti A. Campo, John E. Campo (Ella), Kenneth C. Campo and Bryan J. Campo. Also survived by fourteen grandchildren: Elise S. Anclave (Rusty), Erinn S. Jones (Brad), Gene Schallenberg, Kevin M. Giroir (Rochelle), David C. Giroir , Jennifer G. Hart , Ryan J. Kiefer, Christopher L. Kiefer (Peiyi), M. Brandon Kiefer , Kelly C. LaBure (Christopher), Katie Campo, Kayla Campo, Bryan J. Campo, Jr. and Daphne Campo. Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. He was retired from the Texaco Paradis Plant and had worked at the Amoco Refinery in Destrehan until it’s closing in 1958. He was a past Grand Knight of Red Church Council 3634, the former acting Postmaster of Destrehan and a former School Board member for St. Charles Parish Public Schools.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 9 am until 12 noon at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church at 12 noon.
