Gerard "Big G" Marion Friloux, age 70, of Destrehan, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Gerard was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Vivian Friloux and Moise Friloux. Gerard grew up in New Sarpy, LA where he graduated from St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. Throughout his career, he worked for Shell Oil/Chemical for 30 plus years. He was an avid LSU sports fan and loved riding his Harley Davidson trike.
Gerard is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Robbin Friloux; his daughter Allison Friloux Sova; and his son-in-law Greg Sova; his sister Frances Mire (Steve Mire), his brother Kim Friloux and his sister Lisa Madere (Lennen Madere).
Gerard was preceded in death by his father Moise Friloux and his mother Vivian Friloux.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, LA on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00am until 1:00pm. The family request that guest attending the services honor Gerard by wearing either LSU or Harley Davidson attire or, as he would prefer, just come as you are.
