Such a beautiful soul gone way to soon. I knew Kerry from the center and he helped with my research paper! He was such a kind soul and a huge advocate for the Louisiana Center for Dyslexia. We shared our love of Dyslexia over lunch and how it shaped us into the people we are today. It was amazing making a friend who understood my love hate relationship with the learning disability, 
He will truly be missed. ❤

To all the family,  we are so terribly sorry to hear this devastating news of losing Kerry.  He was such a loveable person and will truly be missed.  Our hearts go out to you.  We are praying for your family now and in the days to come, to be comforted by the Lord, and to have peace.

To Dena, Mary Anne and all who loved this very special young man: although I cannot claim to ever meeting Kerry,  I can see from his smiling face that he was a very out-going  person.  And knowing his parents and one of his grand mothers, I am fairly certain that I would have enjoyed knowing him.  Stay close to all who loved him and remember that you now have a personal angel to pray to for relief from your grief!  Focus on the good memories and tell your "Kerry" stories to each other so his memory will be kept alive in the families' hearts.  I really would like to be present tomorrow for his Mass; but my husband is not doing very well, and it is very difficult to transport him alone.  So he and I will be saying our rosary together for Kerry's soul and for consolation of all of you.  God bless you!  Linda & Davis Madere

He suprised Gigi at her college...she cried like a rain storm from happiness

Way to soon young man. It was a joy to know you and enjoy your cooking.  You will be sorely missed by all but you’re in the arms of God now.

Kerry was a wonderful teacher at Academy of our Lady with me. He was so positive, talented, and sweet. He will be greatly missed. Prayers and sympathy to his family. What a great loss for us but a blessing to the Lord.

I made this apron for Kerry when he finished Culinary School. He said it was his favorite apron, even though he had many. He asked me to make another one when this was unsalvagable after IDA. So I did. He would always come say hello when he was at a gathering. They will be eating well in Heaven.

Kerry was a student of mine at the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute. I couldn't have asked for a better student. Always cheerful, eager to learn and always, always willing to help others. I am deeply saddened.  I send my prayers to his family.

Kerry’s first visit to our house when he was 12 is memorable. We let him cook every meal! It snowed in Maryland and he played in it for hours. He also enjoyed the hot tub!!

The first time I met Kerry was when Gigi and my cousin were attending SCAD. Gigi talked about how he was a professional chef. Of course, we were excited to meet him bc he was our friend's long-time partner. 
And yeah, he was great! At first, Gigi and Kerry almost seemed like opposites, but soon you could see how their edges fit in with each other. They complimented each other and made each other comfortable and happy.
And then, of course, Kerry offered to make us food. We wouldn't pass up the opportunity to have a professional chef cook for us. I insisted on buying the ingredients, but he insisted I not and just let him get what he needed and work his magic. He wanted to make something special. And it was. The sad thing is...I don't exactly remember what he made, but I remember us all sitting at the table and having a good time. I do remember everyone loving the food. 
And I think that was what Kerry was good at. He wasn't a flashy person. He wasn't interested in his own ego. He just wanted to make people around him happy. And that will be my presiding memory of him.
My condolences to his brothers, his sisters, his parents, and most of all to Gigi. Kerry left an indelible mark on us all. It was privilege to know him at all and I can see it was a gift to have him in your life.

Kerry made the world a better place and knowing him made me a better person. Years ago, I had the privilege of teaching Kerry. Years later, he became my friend.  We shared a love of travel, learning, and especially dogs. Kerry was passionate, genuine, kind, caring, and an endless list of other wonderful qualities. We are all lucky to have known him and will miss him dearly. Rest in peace my friend.

I still remember meeting for the first time in 10nth grade home economics, how little did I know you would become my best friend and my rock. The years of friendship that followed I will forever hold in my heart. I miss you and the laughs we used to have! Fly high.
