

She was the beloved daughter of the late Nolan and Mable Badeaux and the devoted wife of the late Ralph Roussel, Sr. Mary was a loving mother to Ralph Roussel, Jr., Kelly Roussel Laiche, Daryl Roussel and the late Melissa Roussel L’Hoste. She is also survived by her sisters, Nelwyn Mancuso and Carolyn Rome; eight cherished grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Alden, Buddy, and Ray Badeaux, Dolores Roussel, and Fay Kilburn.
Mary was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her life. She had a generous heart and a special compassion for the disadvantaged and disabled, especially children. A passionate supporter of education, she believed deeply in the power of learning and opportunity.
Above all, Mary was the heart of her family—a true matriarch. She was a steady source of strength, wisdom, and comfort, always present in times of celebration and sorrow alike. Whether welcoming a new life, mourning a loss, or offering guidance through life’s challenges, Mary was there. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, a gifted cook who brought family together around her table, and a woman whose kindness and resilience touched all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to H.C. Alexander Funeral Home on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Catholic Prayer Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know and love her.
