Pop Pop, how could I have for one of the most beautiful women in the world? Mrs. Lois! She was always taking care of others always before herself. Pop Pop, will you please let her know that she is deeply missed and loved. Take care of her as she did to all others. May You all be in the comfort of God's embrace.

Pop Pop, it's so close to 1 yr that you have left. Oh how times flies, it's seems as if it were yesterday you took you last breath with all your family by your side every step of the way. I miss you so much. Pop Pop, my friend Sammy went to visit you, please tell him I live and miss him too. I'm sure that you, Mickey, and Sammy  are all in a place I can only dream to be. I pray to be where you are, then I wake up. One day Pop Pop, I will see you again, and you can once again start pulling teeth, once again I will hear E I E I O's. there is not one day that goes by that I don't think about you. Pop Pop,here I am up at 435am thinking about you. I think about you so much that I have these dreams about you. If only you could really come to me. Why am I having such a hard time letting you go? The suffering you went through here on earth apparently wasn't enough for me to wanna let you go, and that makes me selfish. I miss you so much and think about you quite often. The very second that I think of you, tears start to fall, then I lock myself up in the room to look at your pictures, because I know that is the only way that I get to see you. I wish that I can hear you in spirit. I just want you to tell me that you are happy and that you are ok, and tell me that you will be watching over me. But you coming to me in a dream I guess is just as good, but only if I could hear you talk. I love you Pop Pop.

Pop Pop...Hello again. I was thinking about you and wanted to see you so I came to visit. Who could have ever known that you being gone would be this hard to deal with. I was so happy to see the holidays leave. It just didn't feel right without you there. Now its a new year and your not here. To think that the upcoming years with you not being here will be so different. Pop Pop I know that you were sick and to watch you wither away was not easy. But letting go is so hard and accepting it is even harder. I love you so pop pop. R.I.P soldier.

Pop Pop, once again I visit your memorial website just to browse through the photos. I miss you a great deal. I am truely blessed to have had those 2 days in the hospital with you. You made me laugh, even though you didn't intentionally do it. I miss you asking me 25 times where I live now? How are the Kids? There is just so much I miss with everything. Growing up, I just thought I had it bad, but now...it's beyond what I could have ever imagined. It's hard knowing that you are no longer here apart of our family. I talk to you at night hoping that your spirit hears me, bucause when I pray, I sometimes feel that God doesn't hear me, so I can only hope that he listens to you. Although, my faith in God is not a strong as it needs to be, I still believe strongly in him. People say that God never gives you more than you can handle...Is that true? That is where my faith is weak,because sometimes it just gets to unbearable. I pray for other more than I pray for myslef, I should probably start praying for myself a little more.Pop Pop, I miss you and love you so much and when I feell the need to see you, I will just look at the pictures, because other than your memory, your photos remain and when I want to see you, I just look at your photos. #1

oh pop pop! sitting up at 2:00 in the morning with heavy thoughts of you, remembering the times we all went trawling, I Loved going to the camp! remembering the E-I-E-I-O's with all the grandchildren and carried on to the great grandchildren, the wart remedy, I still hear you say get a piece of seasoned meat, rub it on your warts bury the meat 3 days after a full moon. something to that effect, I don't quite remember because when you did it to me, my warts never came back, the times when I would ask you for a dollar, and you would slip me a dollar so I could go swimming in Mrs.Margie and Mr. Geralds swimming pool and got in trouble becausemy mom and dad thought I stole the money, but never did I tell anyone that you gave me the dollar until now. Goodness, the teeth pulling! let's just tie a string around the tooth and tie on the door knob and slam the door shut why don't you...lol... boy were those the  days. Oh, the chickens...how can we forget those chickens? That was detramental, but we ate good. Pop Pop, through the years, the hardest thing for me to see was the very first time I saw you in the nursing home, being that the camp was your life. It was then that I just knew at that moment that your life was over, but you proved me wrong, you have fought for quite some time,and gave us all years to embrace certain moments at certain times. I remember the first time that you ever told me that you loved me, words that never came out of your mouth was the most heart warming moment and I embrace close to my heart. Then your sense of humor comes... When I woould go visit you in the room, you would look at me with a blank stare, I would ask you who was I, my beautiful grandmother would ask you that by writing it on the board, and you would still have this look like you didn't remember, I just knew that my worst nightmare was coming true, the last thing I wanted through your illness was to forget who I was, and as I started to cry, you put your arm around me and said, it will be ok Dawnnell..Pop Pop, so not even funny, but it made you laugh. Then I come to realize, you were doing to Brooke as you did to me, you would slide her a few dollars and tell her not to tell anyone knowing that you probably done gave the other g-grandkids a dollar here and there and told them the same. Reguardless, watching you being the man you had to be to take care of your family holds great value, and my beautiful grandmother being the strong woman that she is because of her faith in God has kept the family together, and no matter what problems or issues the kids, or grandkids had in their lives, never did ya'll turn against them, and because of that I still have my mom and dad, pop pop those 2 days I had with you in the hospital, those are days that I can cherish, all the years you have taken care of all of us, it was truely a blessing that I was able to do the same for you. Everyone stood firm and took their place in your last days of taking care of you Mainly your beautiful nurse, and your awesome son Joey. I love you pop pop, love always your #1 Grandaughter!

Dad, Thank you for making me laugh 4 years ago when I gave you your first pedicure. I will never forget how you would laugh when I hit a ticklish spot on your feet and after I was finished and you put your socks and shoes on and I suddenly saw you hopping up and down and told me that your feet felt so good and you were the happiest man in the world, I couldn't believe my ears. That is when I started calling you Happy Feet. I also remember when my neighbor came over and I was kneeling down washing your feet and clipping your toe-nails, the next day Ruth told me, when she saw me washing your feet she saw me washing Jesus feet. I never thought of it that way, I was just washing my father's feet and enjoying the 3 hours it took making you laugh. Ms. Ruth passed away right before you did, if you see her tell her Hi and that I'm praying for her too.
  Mom, You have been the backbone in this family telling us that one day we will have to answer to God one day, well Dad confirmed that just days before he went to the world of no pain, hatred or anger in it. You kept a husband and 10 kids together because of your faith in God through all of our suffering, trials and tributaions as Dad said Your the Best and I'm sure that all of us would agree. When I was told that daddy was saying Yes Sir I think 3 times while he was simi comma or in acomma here is no doubt that Dad was saying Yes Sir to someone of High Superior, because I can' ever recall him to say Yes Sir to anyone. 
I know that in the gut of my stomach that the Divine Mercy of Forgiveness filled that room right before he was taken home with his pretty happy feet.Dad I had always loved you and always will till the day I die.

You know that the first time I went trawling was with you and Joey and it was so much fun (but also alot of work).
