Barbara Edith Cook

Norfolk - Barbara E. Cook, 70, passed away April 2, 2011. She was born in Norfolk, VA on May 18, 1940. Barbara worked alongside her husband as the owner of C & B Used Car Dealership for many years. Due to illness she retired and lived happily taking care of her family. Barbara enjoyed racecar driving, bingo, and the beauty of spring. She was a giving person who devoted herself to her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Cecil Cook; children, Louis R. Everett Jr, A.David Everett Sr. and wife Minerva, Thomas U. Everett and wife Tricia, and Cecil A. Cook and wife Cindy; step-son, Cecil W. Cook and wife Wanda; life-long caretaker and granddaughter, Crystal Everett; 16 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
