Norfolk- Bernard L. Wieczorek, 65, passed away January 16, 2012. He was born in New York, to the late Walter and Esther Wieczorek. Bernie enlisted in the U.S. Navy after high school, was a Vietnam Veteran, and retired after 24 years of service. He was an avid hot rod enthusiast, fisherman, and loved working on "Annabelle" his 1940 Ford 2 door Sedan. Bernie is predeceased by his wife Linda P. Wieczorek. He is survived by his son Anthony Wieczorek and his wife Rachelle; grandchildren Emma Hughes and Tyler Wieczorek; sister Patricia Wieczorek and partner Roxanne Cheney of New York; his girlfriend of many years Rose Chandler; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 19, from 6-8pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk and where services will be held Friday, January 20, at 10am in Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel.
