

Betty Judith Hill, 73, passed away on Monday in Norfolk. Betty was born in West Virginia to the late, Guy and Birdetta White Hylton. She was predeceased by her siblings, Fredia, Frank and Teddy. Betty was a huge Nascar fan. She loved watching the jets as they flew overhead, working in the yard, picking strawberries and going to Dairy Queen for sundaes. She is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Jimbo and wife Kim; daughters, Tammy Burton and husband, Rick, Pam Hill and Ed; grandchildren, Chris, Jason, Ben and Bryan; brothers, Paul, Robert, and Clyde Hylton; sister, Verlie Sutphin and extended family, Alex and Suzie and also, Squeakers, her cat and Snoop, her dog. A visitation will be from 6-8pm, Friday evening at Smith and Williams Norfolk Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30pm, Saturday in the Smith and Williams Norfolk chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be offered at smithandwilliamsnorfolk.com.
