Bonnie Kay Spangler

Bonnie Kay Spangler was born in Omaha, Nebraska July 16, 1954 to the late Wilma Rockenbach. Bonnie departed this life bound for her heavenly Father's loving arms on November 10th 2009 after waging a very brave and courageous five year battle against cancer. Bonnie 55, passed away at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center. Bonnie was predeceased by her late husband Gary, her mom Wilma and her three infants. Bonnie is survived by her son Brooks (Brandy) Hodge, David (Angela) Schweigert, her first husband and best friend Lonnie Hodge, Grand kids Hannah and Trenton, brother Christopher (Christina) Rockenbach of SanDiego, CA, sisters Polly (Craig) Gill of Plains, MT, Belinda (Richard) Morgan of Ellis, KS, Beverly Weis of Wichita, KS. Bonnie was a mother and beloved grandmother to many foster children, whom she adored.

We would like to extend a special thanks to the fine men and women at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center on Ward 4J who cared fo her and her family during this time.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Memorial services will be held Monday November 16th, 2009 at 11 am at Woodlawn Funeral Home with Full military honors following at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please send new or gently used DVD's, Video Games, board games etc. to Portsmouth Naval Medical Center Ward 4J in memory of Bonnie Kay Spangler.
