Catherine Jean Creeks

Norfolk - Cathy Creeks, 63, passed away on October 28, 2020. Cathy was the daughter of the late Donald Nathaniel Simmons, Sr. and Jean Rae Boyd Simmons. She was also predeceased by her beloved brother, Donald Nathaniel Simmons, Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Mae Nell Simmons Egger and Julie Renee Simmons Malig; her nieces, Morgan Rae Egger, Cayman Marie Simmons Malig, Croix Marisa Simmons Malig, Caicos Mariel Simmons Malig and her nephews, Hunter Wayne Egger and Kona Donentino Simmons Malig. Cathy loved music, singing and dancing with her friends and cooking. She was a ray of sunshine when she entered the room and always had a positive cheerful outlook. She enjoyed traveling and helping others and incorporated that by working as a flight attendant for US Airways and later dog sitting for her friends. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 8th at 12 o’clock noon in the chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Cathy wished in lieu of flowers to have memorial donations made to: the ASPCA or the American Cancer Society.
