Our dear friend Cathy died peacefully on February 07, 2025 after a long illness. She will be missed by many. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl J. Harrell; son, David M. Harrell; mother, Bettie; father, Grover Talley; and five brothers, Curtis, Joseph, Randolph, Earnest, and William Talley.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Mary Catherine Bell, of Georgia, many nieces and nephews. Cathy was a member of St. Matthew's and Holy Trinity Catholic Churches. She was a graduate of Norview High School, class of '55 and had many alumni friends. She enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises with her husband and friends, staying in the Outer Banks in the summer, eating shrimp on Friday night at the Thirsty Camel in OV and Saturday steak night at the Brass Bell in VB.
We would like to thank her caregivers over the last 5 years, Our Lady of Perpetual Help and especially Barb and staff in the Christopher Center and Westminster Hospice for end of life care. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 22, from 10-10:45 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, with a graveside service to begin at 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
