Clarence Edward Notyce peacefully departed this life when he was called home by our heavenly father on December 12, 2012. Clarence was born on February 12, 1921 in Panama City to the late Norman and Cecilia Notyce. He was predeceased by two sisters, Lucille Cornwall and Miriam Campbell and one brother, Lloyd Alladice. He later moved to Gatun, Canal Zone in 1926 where he received his education. In July 1950, he married Millicent Irene Smith and moved to Rainbow City, Canal Zone and shortly relocated to Pedro Miguel, Canal Zone. They were blessed with three children Carlos, Cecilia, and Conrado. Clarence was employed as a clerk at the Mechanical Division in Mount Hope. He was later transferred to the Accounting Division in Balboa Heights. He worked as an accountant for 37 years. Clarence and Millicent moved to the United States in 1977 to be near their children. For the past 35 years they resided in Virginia Beach, VA. He was a quiet and gentle man who enjoyed watching television, especially boxing. Some of his fondest memories were visiting his daughter in places such as Japan, Germany, California, and Texas. Clarence enjoyed family gatherings and attending parties with friends. He was the first and last one on the floor salsa dancing with his sweetheart. He was always willing to extend a helping hand to those in need and likewise, his friends were there for him. Clarence was extremely fortunate to always be surrounded by devoted friends of all ages who treasured his wisdom and humor. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 62 years, Millicent, a daughter Cecilia (Thaddeus) of San Antonio, TX, and two sons, Carlos of Orlando, FL and Conrado (Kathy) of Woodbridge, VA. He leaves eight grandchildren who loved him dearly: Carla (Craig), Carlos II, Darnell (Sandy), Neysa, Conrado Jr. (Karmen), Derrick, Corina and Carlia. He was truly blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Amari, Dante, DeShaun, Cahnye, Celeste, Chris, Cree, Donovan, Maiah and Cade. In addition, Clarence is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends who loved him dearly. Clarence was blessed to live to be 91 years old. Though his wish was to see his 100th birthday, God had other plans. He is with the Lord. He is in a better place now, with no pain and no tears, rejoicing with the Lord forever.
