Craig passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at his residence with his loving wife by his side. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Pearl (Smith) Watson and by his half-brother Donald Gordon Watson.
Craig worked as an Electronics Technician in Virginia Beach after leaving the US Navy. He was a Vietnam War Veteran serving from 1960-1970. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and the more the pieces the better. He enjoyed the beautiful flowers in the yard and his dog pals Baby Girl and Snickers.
Craig is survived by the love of his life, Margaret Teresa Watson, his wife of 55 years. He leaves behind two precious daughters: Sonja (Henry) Johnson and Carissa (Bryan) Hines; four grandchildren: Marissa Pearl Rexroad, Ryan Tucker Hines, Daniel Christopher Hines, Dylan Joshua Hines; and a great-grandchild Wynter Noelle. Craig is also survived by his sister Vicki Waters and brothers: Hugh Elmo Watson, Thomas Arnold (Judy) Watson, James Leonard (Pauline) Watson, Glenn Edward (Karen) Watson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at Kempsville Christian Church, 5424 Parliament Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow the service in the church Fellowship Hall, starting at 12pm. Friends and family are all welcome to attend. A graveside burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens after the services to begin at 2pm.
