Cynthia “Cindy” Doreen Filek Lee, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in Smithfield, VA. Cindy was born in Norfolk, VA to Henry and Dawn Filek. She was predeceased by her mother, Dawn Filek. Cindy retired with the Department of Defense as a Work Control Leader. In her spare time she loved horseback riding. She enjoyed quilting, flowers, landscaping, and she was very passionate about animals. She is cherished in memory by her husband of 29 years, Charlie “Ray” Lee, Sr., father, Henry Filek; children, Nicole, Nathan, Shirley, Ray, Jr. and Linda; grandchildren, Grace, Daniel, Sarah, and Heidi; sister, Rebecca as well as a host of other significant family members and friends.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 10am, Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow services at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
