She is survived by her father, Leo Therrien; her brother, Karl Therrien; her nephew, Bryce Therrien; her niece, Kyla Yung; her great-nieces, Rayne Yung and Parker Therrien; and her lifelong partner, Anthony Scott. She was predeceased by her mother, Huguette Nault Therrien.
Cynthia dedicated 41 years of service to the Department of the Navy, where she worked honorably as a Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Her commitment to her work and her country will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cynthia will be remembered most for the joy she brought to those around her. Her positive energy was truly contagious, brightening every room she entered and lifting the spirits of everyone she met. She had a gift for making people feel loved, welcomed, and cared for, and her kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow on Friday, August 29, at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, with burial immediately after at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
